Velocimetry
Velocimetry portal is started by a group of people who are currently working with the various Laser Flow Diagnostic techniques. The lack of a good knowledge bank on these techniques was a cause of concern. This ignited the thoughts towards creating a portal.
Basically from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, this group consists of two eminent professors from the Combustion and Flow Diagnostic Laboratory, Department of Aerospace Engineering and their students.
Over the years, the Combustion and Flow Diagnostics Lab (IIT Madras) has developed customized 2C PIV and Stereo PIV system. It is the first lab in India to do so.
