Velocimetry portal was started by a group of people who are involved with the various Laser Flow Diagnostics techniques. The lack of a good knowledge bank on these techniques was a cause of concern and this ignited our thoughts towards creating a portal.
Having originated from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, this group also has the active participation from two eminent professors of the Combustion and Flow Diagnostic Laboratory, Department of Aerospace Engineering.
Over the years, the Combustion and Flow Diagnostics Lab (IIT Madras) has developed customized 2C PIV and Stereo PIV system. It is the first lab in India to do so.
